Quick answer

Ask the supplier for the full ingredient lists, directions and warnings, the responsible person on the packaging, barcode and size options, delivery times and application support. Working with a supplier who gives clear answers makes the salon both safer and easier to plan.

Questions about the product

  1. Is there a full ingredient list (INCI)? You need to be able to answer when a client asks about allergies.
  2. Are the directions, storage and warnings clear? Application time and who should not use the product should be on the label.
  3. Does the packaging show the responsible person and address? Cosmetic labels state who is responsible for placing the product on the market.
  4. Is the period after opening stated? This is especially important for salon products.

Commercial questions

  1. Are there salon and retail sizes? Being able to use the same product in treatments and for sale is an advantage.
  2. Are barcodes and product codes clear? They are needed for stock control and reordering.
  3. What are the delivery time and minimum order? Running out of product in the treatment room disrupts service.
  4. Is application and product support provided? A catalogue and product information to brief your team on a new product are important.
