Quick answer

On the face, use a few drops of pomegranate seed oil as the last step of your evening routine, on top of or mixed into your moisturiser. On hair, apply it only to the ends; on the body, it works best on skin that is still damp after a shower.

What is pomegranate seed oil?

Pomegranate seed oil is a plant oil obtained from pomegranate seeds. What sets it apart from other plant oils is its richness in punicic acid, a rare fatty acid. In cosmetics it is used as a care oil that softens the skin and helps reduce moisture loss.

Croen Pomegranate Seed Oil Serum is a multi-purpose care oil for face, hair and body, presented in a 100 ml glass bottle.

How to use it on the face

Oils do not add water to the skin; they help the skin hold on to its moisture. That is why they come at one of the last steps of a facial routine.

  1. Cleanse your skin and apply your toner and serum, if you use them.
  2. Warm 2–3 drops of oil in your palm.
  3. Press it gently onto your face; keep away from the eye area.
  4. For a lighter feel, mix the oil into your moisturiser.

For oily and blemish-prone skin, a good start is to use a small amount in the evening and watch how your skin responds in the first weeks.

Use on hair and body

  • Hair ends: On towel-dried or dry hair, spread 1–2 drops between your palms and apply to the ends only. Applying it to the roots can make hair greasy quickly.
  • Body: After a shower, while your skin is still damp, massage a few drops into dry areas such as elbows, knees and heels.
  • Hands and cuticles: One drop in the evening is a practical treatment for dryness around the nails.

Storage and precautions

Plant oils can deteriorate over time when exposed to light and heat. Keep the bottle closed in a cool place away from sunlight. Do not use the oil if its smell changes noticeably.

As with any new product, test it on a small area, such as behind the ear or on the inner wrist, before first use.

Frequently asked questions

Evening use on the face is more practical; if you use it during the day, apply a very small amount and follow with sunscreen.

Is pomegranate oil suitable for oily skin?

It can be used in small amounts in the evening. Watch your skin for a few weeks; if breakouts increase, use it less often.

Can it be applied around the eyes?

No. Choose products specially developed for the eye area.
